About OGS Technologies

OGS Technologies is a young innovative company founded in 2020 by four partners combining their expertise in optical ground stations and optical links in free space. We develop cutting-edge technologies for the emerging field of optical telecommunications between space and the ground, meeting the growing demand for increased throughput and enhanced security.

Our mission is to become the reference in optical ground stations, supported by a multidisciplinary team and collaborations with industrial partners. Recent achievements include the successful demonstration of optical links with GEO satellites in May 2024, with new demonstrations planned for LEO satellites in 2025.

Responsibilities and Preferred Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications for optical ground stations.
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists to create software solutions for ground station operations.
  • Optimize software performance and scalability for real-time communication.
  • Ensure software quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and documentation.
  • Integrate software with existing control systems, IoT sensors, and tracking mechanisms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Knowledge of modern C++ standards (C++11/14/17/20) and SDK development.
  • Experience with Linux/Windows operating systems and command-line tools.
  • Proficiency in version control systems, containerization (Docker/Podman), and testing frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
